JFDL...sorry don't mean to laugh but I thought I was bad about doing stuff like that. Anytime I could whack my foot into something I would. Although I don't think I have ever broken a toe...come pretty damn close though. As for my knees well they are just fucked.
So uh yeah....keep it on ice till frostbite is about to set in and then keep it up.

yeah... been there done that all day today, lol. for the first 12 hours or so i used ice only... it's supposed to be 24hrs, and i KNOW it is... but it always makes me feel soooooooo much better to soak... ice hurts... i made sure to start and end with ice after each time i soaked, though... so it didn't swell too much, and the soreness has gone a little... i can stand to let it touch the floor now, as long as it's either taped or wrapped up. Every time i soaked it, it became a prettier color though, and spread, lol. There is this HUGE dark line/blob thing right on top of my foot under my last 2 toes... the rest is still the pretty blue color... *L* ah well... fuck it, what're ya gonna do, ya know? it happened... gotta make the best of it now... i suppose i will be back to work as usual tomorrow.
My monday definitely got better though... it's my oldest nephew's birthday... he just turned 16... and we celebrated at the newest japanese steak house in the area... it was my first time going... i'd just never gotten around to the others, and no one EVER wants to go, so i had never been. It was AWESOME... the food was awesome, the guy was entertaining, and he played around with the younger kids and kept them under control. *L* they loved the part where he flipped the whole eggs all over the grill with the spatula, then flipped one into the top of his hat... they thought it disappeared, it was cute. lol. All in all, it was probably one of the best meals i've ever had, and it's not often when our 2 families get together and have a good time... and Josh had fun, so that's the most important thing. big, lanky, hulking, DRIVING!...teenager. *sighs*... he is about 5 inches taller than me... i held him almost in one hand the night he was born. it's completely amazing, and a little unbelievable... *shakes head*.... he's going to get his license tomorrow. look out, world!
anyway, lol. we all had a good time, and i even managed to forget about my foot for a while... i taped my toes together, crammed a shoe on that foot, and went. josh and i had been talkin about it all last week, and i didn't wanna miss it. When i lived out of state, i missed a LOT of birthdays... he and i are so much alike... i swear he shoulda been my kid. lol. i just want some of his memorable times to include his auntie.
so. here i sit, foot almost bloodless from being wrapped so tight, lol, out of pain meds. grrr. i took a sleeping pill instead, lmao, so even if it hurt, i could at least pass out tonight... i was miserable last night... and about the time i got to sleep, it was time to get up again. fuck that, lol. tonight i will rest... Ambien is a lovely thing... though sometimes it tends to make you hallucinate a little. *laughs* or some people anyway, myself included. either way, i will sleep, and hopefully feel better in the morning than i did today. and hopefully i don't trip over, ram my feet into, or FALL into anything before i can make it to work! shoot me. seriously. just fucking SHOOT ME. i am home from work today... because i broke my toe, and possibly something in my foot last night. Ri-fucking-diculous. I had a set of those little 10lb dumbells in the floor where i don't usually set them. i was sorting laundry for washing, turned around and popped it in the washer, turned back around, and walked straight into the flat end of one of the dumbells with my PINKY TOE. well, mostly pinky toe... some of the one next to it as well. I swear to god it felt like my toe had been ripped off, or shoved back into my foot until it was gone. It messed up my knee somehow too... i guess it jangled the whole damn leg, cuz i had NO clue the damn thing was there, i turned around and took a step full force and whammed into a solid object halfway through the process... it feels like my knee jammed into itself, and as a result of a previous injury, my kneecap is now sitting slightly crooked.
*sighs*... fuuuuuuuuuuuuck ME.... ya know? how many times in the course of a few months can i mangle my fucking body? i just DID get over having a torn tendon in my ankle... that took months... now i've broken my toe, at least. it's sorta hanging below the others, and there's a bigger space between the two toes than there should be. yeah. that sucks, lol. They are taped together at the moment, and i have an icepack ace-bandaged to my foot.
i got up this morning...early, because my car had to be at the dealership for repair... i could hardly walk around... i was sick to my stomach STILL yet. (this happened around 9:00 last night, just before dexter... felt faint all the way through my show... that kinda ruined it.) I didn't sleep much last night... i spent most of it up crying... i didn't know breaking something so small could hurt SO fucking badly. i know it sounds whiney, but jesus GOD it hurts. sooooooooo very much. it feels like it's not attached to my foot or something. so not only does it hurt, it feels weird... like someone else's toe is on my foot. (wait. wasn't that a theme of grey's anatomy recently, the guy who said his foot didn't belong to him and he wanted it cut off? lmao, i think so. i don't watch the show, but i saw that one.)
i managed a shower this morning, and to get ready... but i was sweating like a ho in confession, and shaking all over... cold, clammy sweat. ugh. it's been wrapped constantly since about 2 minutes after it happened... i can't bear to let it loose. it hurts so much worse. i couldn't even unwrap it before i went to sleep... just touching the bed with it made me scream.
so. i got to the dealership, dropped off the car, and my mom took me over to work. where i went inside, said "hey, i'm here! excuse me a minute, i have to throw up"... then proceeded to tell the story and ended with "and i'm going home." that's kinda babyfied i guess, but the way our control room is set up, it's one big long desk across a wall... and where you sit is recessed... there is a board or partition on each side of my legs... i can't even fit a stool underneath to prop up my leg... so screw that, lol. i have no painkillers left either... so i knew i couldn't sit there all day with my leg hanging down, my foot and toes swelling, with nothing to take for pain. so i came home, iced my foot, then got in the whirlpool tub... which made it a LOT less sore... but it is a gorgeous shade of pure blue now... kinda like when you go get your blood taken, and they don't apply pressure afterward, and you bleed underneath your skin? THAT kinda blue color. it's lovely... oh, and looky! NOW there are little black-like SPOTS popping up within the blue area, which extends from below my last two toes, all the way around my foot and on the underside. yay. I'm sure it will turn a billion different colors before it's over with. *L* i just hope my knee will straighten up again... no pun intended of course.
so ANYWAY! that's my beautiful fantastico fkn monday. monday can just bite my ass this week as far as i'm concerned. and that's all i'm gonna bitch now, lol, because my leg is hanging down and my toe is swelling enormously. *L* i certainly hope monday is going better for everyone else. LOL...I usually just ram my toes into a corner of a wall that shouldn't have been there...or a dresser or something.
